I am a writer, publisher and designer based out of Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

My main interest and pastime is rock climbing and mountaineering. I run the small publishing house Stone Country Press, which has published several books on Scottish and World climbing: 'Stone Play', 'Bouldering in Scotland' and 'Essential Fontainebleau'. We are currently publishing a new series of climbing guides for Scotland. I have also published many articles in the climbing press magazines and journals: Climbing, Climber, Scottish Mountaineer, Scottish Mountaineering Club Journal, UKClimbing Online, Trail Magazine amongst others.

As a professional freelance writer, I specialise in Science, Nature, Travel and History. I am the author of the 'Sky Handbook', a book on our cosmos and atmosphere. I am currently auhtoring a Polar Travel book on the classic polar explorers called 'The Last Ice Heroes'..

My experience of travel within Scotland and Europe is extensive, I have a large stock photography collection and deep knowledge of travelling within Scotland especially.
